Favourite Things is a computer access project run by Canterbury City Council Museums and Galleries Service through support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The Favourite Things website offers you the opportunity to share memories, stories or comments about your favourite museum objects, and discover what other people have written.

Over the last year, the museums service has been working closely with schools, who have been looking at ways of using objects to write creative stories, many of which are on the website. If you are a teacher, and want to find out more, see our teacher section.

We are always adding objects, information and pictures of objects from the collections to the online museum database so check back on a regular basis to see what’s new.
