If you're new to the website, and you would like to create a school account, contact the museums team, sending school name, year group and a contact name and information.

By registering your school, you will be able to upload images and documents direct to the site through the use of a simple page editing system, giving you control over your classes work. This means faster publication for the students, and greater control for you.

Objects and images offer exciting ways of learning about our past and our cultures. Things mean something to us; they connect us to other times, to each other and to our locality.

Favourite Things brings together a host of objects with local connections and local people’s responses to them. It is an on-going project that children can add to. They can vote for an object of the month. Their stories can become part of the website, and they can visit their local museum to see and handle many of the objects.
